I was laid off February 2, 2009. That was the 2nd day into the RPMchallenge ( www.RPMChallenge.com ). The timing lead to a parallel processing of emotional and musical material. I think the two are intertwined in the tone and progression of this album from start to finish: beginning with elation, moving through darkness, ending with hope.

This is my second consecutive submission to the RPMchallenge. Originally submitted under the artist name "The Hidden Distance". Some of these songs take time to develop.
