This is a single off of the recently completed, and soon to be released album, "Double Helix" (working title). Where will it take you?

The DNA Double Helix is composed of a twisting, intertwined ladder form. Ladder, visually descriptive of the neck of the guitar. And the guitar on which this was performed is a special instrument. It belonged to my first guitar teacher, a family friend to whom I am extremely grateful. Shortly after teaching me the first round of guitar lessons I ever had, she passed from this world. That was around 1992. Fast forward to November, 2014. Her family had been taking care of her instrument for 22 years, and it was no longer being played. They kindly gifted the instrument to me. It was worn from years of playing, and time. I looked into having it restored. To my surprise, Kenny Hill, the original craftsman who made the instrument in 1977, agreed to take on the project.

I, and a couple friends, went to Santa Cruz to deliver the guitar on Jan 2, 2015. Nobody, including the instrument's maker, could have predicted that the repair would take 4 years.

The guitar was ready for pickup on Jan 2, 2019.

Exactly 4 years from the date it was dropped off.
The guitar is the 4th guitar Kenny Hill ever built.
This song is exactly 4:44 long.
It will be the 4th song on the upcoming album.

And Double Helix is soon to be 12th consecutive album project entirely conceived and recorded during the month of February as part of the international RPM (record production month) challenge.

Please enjoy!
